Desktop Shortwave receiver

The Racal 1772 is a 19" Rack Mounting high-grade general purpose synthesised solid state communications receiver. Made by Racal Communications in England. Frequency range 15KHz-30MHz displayed digitally on LED type display. Modes LSB, CW, AM. Antenna input 50-75 Ohms, nominal.Sensitivity 1uV. IF filters 0, 1, 3, 8 kHz. The BFO range is +/- 3kHz variable by slow motion control on the front panel. Built-in internal Loudspeaker with provisions for a range of audio outputs, 1mW into 600 Ohms and 1W into 8 Ohms.

Front panel controls consisting of MHz and KHz Frequency selection, RF Tune, AF and IF Gain Controls, AGC, Mode Switch, Meter Switch, BFO, Loudspeaker On/Off Switch, Tuning Rate Switch, Line level pre-sets, Filter Switch, Head-Phone Jack, Meter, and Power On/Off Switch. Antenna and mains sockets at the rear of the unit.
