The Yaesu FTV-650 six meter transverter converts a 10/11 m rig into a 6 m rig. The input frequency between 28 and 30 MHz is converted to either 50-52 or 52-54 MHz in SSB or AM modes. The Yaesu FTV-650 was designed to work together with the Yaesu FT-101 / Yaesu FT-201 transceiver or Yaesu FL-101 / Yaesu FR-101 transmitter-receiver combination.

This B-version is a hybrid which still uses a tube for 12V filament. The mostly solid-state design makes it very suitable for mobile operation.
