Lafayette Explor-Air (KT-135) reviews

First kit I built

steve

The original case was not that pretty. More like orange crate wood covered in a grey patterned material like cupboard liner. Two prong transformer-less so not a kit lawyers would probably let a company sell today, much less to kids. Pretty touchy about the sweet spot of sensitivity and blaring regeneration so it's lucky I still have ears. Nonetheless, I heard shortwave from every continent and sideband amateur throughout North America so if my code was better I imagine those were coming in from around the world.
