Lowe

The British based Lowe (not to be confused with the German Loewe or Löwe) became well known for its high quality receivers in the 1980s and 90s. Their equipment can be easily recognised by its simple and to-the-point design.

The breakthrough came with the Lowe HF-150, a small HF receiver that was extensively used by radio amateurs, but also by sailors and aviators.

The Lowe company still exists, but no longer manufactures radio equipment.
