The Drake TR270 is a unique 2 meter FM transceiver with 440 MHz receive and is traditionally used in a base orientation. Dual receiver circuits are employed. Receiver "A" covers 144-148 MHz, and wideband Receiver "B" covers 136-174 and 420-470 MHz. This well built radio has a beautiful backlit LCD. Other features include keypad, multiple scan functions and both VFO and up/down tuning. 100 memories are available for each band, plus 200 additional memories for satellite frequencies. DTMF and CTCSS encode and decode are built in. There are 60 user-defined parameters to tailor the operation of this transceiver to your personal taste. Output power may be selected at 25, 10 or 1 watts. There are two antenna inputs on the back panel (one is for receive only).
