Classic Boat Anchor

Often overlooked, in favor of the older AM/CW transmitters, this is one of the last classic Boat Anchors, and in my opinion, one of the best. It, and it's big brother, the 2K, are the last of the BIG, Johnson Boat Anchors, and are all too often overlooked, by boat anchor collectors. Personally, I prefer the transmitters that also give you SSB, built-in, like this one, the KWS-1, and the Heath Marauder. It just makes them more versatile. While they might not be optimal radios for working SSB, they get the job done, and do it well. Beside, the receiver is the more important part of the set up.
