National Company NC-60 receiver

This receiver was a dream machine for an eleven year old boy on Christmas morning in 1959. It was a really good place to start in amateur radio. I listened to the world. I listened to amateurs around the world. All it needed was a long wire antenna and a pair of head phones. By today's standard it is old fashion, so what. Communication is still one of the most interesting areas that precious few ever study. It is super regenerative by circuit design and could have used a bit on the ability to vary the bandwidth for purpose separating signals. That is how I remember it.
