Drake 2-B/2-BQ

Drake 2-B, Desktop Shortwave receiver

This receiver is not only nostalgic, as it was my original ram receiver when I got licensed in 67, but I have restored one completely and it is a superb performer. The filters are adequate for even today's crowded bands and it as sensitive and stable as you could want. I use it for traffic handling and chasing DX when I can. If you have an opportunity to pick up one of these, go for it, as you will not be disappointed. Only thing it's missing is a good noise blanker but one of those can be added in the audio output.
