The IC-7300 employs an RF direct sampling system, where RF signals are directly convert to digital data. Then processed in the FPGA (Field-Programmable Gate Array), making it possible to simplify the circuit construction as well as reduce noise that can mask weak signals.
The large 4.3” color TFT touch LCD offers intuitive operation of functions, settings, and various operational visual aids such as the band scope, waterfall function, and audio scope.

This is by far the best Transceiver in the price range, i never buy the first new prototype till now. I waited for the reviews and decided to proceed with the purchase giving my 718 a long awaited rest. I was surprised by the receiving quality and capability of this new transceiver. Where did all the noise go, wonderful i can pick stations up like never before, antenna is the same even using the same SM6 mic that really sings with this unit. My regular contacts overseas state that the sound quality is spot on and it punches thru, one even played back my QSO and it was surprisingly very good indeed very crisp. The water fall is fantastic how did i manage before without this tool. The dial is the smoothest i have ever used. I am impressed by the quality of this unit which is made in Japan. All i can say is that the Hype is correct what a great machine Thanks Icom with this baby you are spot on.
New generation technology the hype is true it is fantastic great RX and Tx very easy to use has all the bells and whistles. You will be saying where has all the noise gone. This is the best to date that i have used and it will be all you need for the next ten years. Try one and you will be hooked. Waterfall feature and scope is great, touch screen is great, filters are great and tuner works well but really you should use a tuned antenna for maximum performance. Image rejection is great i don't get splatter from NZ anymore. 100% happy and it is made in JAPAN the dial is by far the best i have ever used so smooth and precise. Thanks ICOM the first attempt is successful nothing under $5000 can beat it.
I've owned a number of transceivers over my 3 decade ham life. The IC-7300 scratches all of my HF itches. Small, good performance on both transmit and receive and pretty intuitive to use. The caveat on that is I've owned a couple of Icom IC-756Pro series radios, which are excellent, as well. I jumped on the IC-7300 when GigiParts was offering a free lifetime warranty upgrade to the original owner. I've never had an Icom break, but this one will be covered, if it does. I may have other radios come and go from the shack, but I'm pretty sure the IC-7300 has a home for the rest of my life. 73
Estimating the value of a rig can be challenging. The table below shows historical prices paid by hams over the years. May it guide you to good fortune...
