Model 940/RM is a rack mount version. Model 940/1 has one fixed crystal position. Model 940/2 is configured for vehicular use. Model 940/3 produced for Her Majesty's Coast Guard. Eddystone's first solid state receiver was the Eddystone 960 which had 19 semiconductors and physically resembled the 940. The Eddystone 960 operated from 8 D cells or 12 V DC. The Eddystone 962 is similar to the 960, but with 8 fixed crystal positions.
