Marconi Est. 1897 | Great Britain

The Marconi Company was founded in 1897 by wireless pioneer Guglielmo Marconi with its headquarters in the UK. Marconi hasn't manufactured rigs specifically for the amateur radio market, but rather for marine and military purposes.

In its centennial existence the company has ventured into many markets and undergone many changes. In 2006 the name Marconi was bought by the Swedish telecom firm Ericsson.
