I bought this radio at a Ham junk sale some years ago, it sat on my shelf for quite some time.
Out of curiousity, I fired it up one day and it had some alignment issues and both the squelch and the volume sliders were noisy when adjusted.
I then tore the thing to pieces, replaced all of the electrolytic caps, re-aligned the set and cleaned the sliders with IPA.
It's been working fine ever since, however there is a slight hum starting to appear on the audio output that I might have to investigate further.
Given the age of this set, I was really surprised that it's still working as well as it is, they don't make them like this any more :(
never had any problems always works great
