The Alinco DR-135E MKIII is a Mobile VHF Transceiver. It covers 118-174 MHz (after modification) for reception and 144-146 MHz for transmission. The transceiver features a double-conversion superheterodyne receiver system with IF frequencies of 1st: 21.7 MHz and 2nd: 450 KHz. It has selectable tuning steps of 5 / 8.33 / 10 / 12.5 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 50 kHz. The DR-135E MKIII offers a maximum RF output of 50W, 20W, or 5W and features CTCSS, DCS, GPS input for APRS, and 1200/9600 bd packet (EJ-41U) option. It has 1 memory bank with 100 channels. Dimensions are 40 × 142 × 174 mm. The transceiver weighs 1 kg and requires 13.8V DC +/- 15%. Current drain is 400 mA (squelched) in receive mode and a maximum of 11 A in transmit mode.
