The FDK Multi-800D is a mobile VHF transceiver. It covers 144-148 MHz for both receive and transmit with 5 kHz tuning steps. The receiver system is a double conversion superheterodyne with IF frequencies of 1st: 16.9 MHz and 2nd: 455 kHz, and image rejection of 60 dB. RF output is 1-25 W. Audio output is 1.2 W at 10% distortion / 8 ohms. The transceiver requires 11-15 V DC power supply with a current drain of 1.5 A max in receive and 1.8-6.5 A in transmit. Dimensions are 71 × 162 × 260 mm and the weight is 3 kg.
