The ICOM IC-04E is a handheld UHF transceiver. It covers 430-440 MHz for both receive and transmit. Frequency stability is 0.001%. Tuning steps are selectable between 12.5 kHz and 25 kHz. The receiver system is double conversion superheterodyne with IF frequencies of 21.8 MHz and 455 kHz. RF output power is selectable between High: 3-5 W (depending on voltage) and Low: 0.5 W. Audio output is 500 mW at 8 ohms, 10% distortion. It has 1 memory bank with 10 channels. Power requirements are 5.5-16 V DC. Current drain in receive is 45-150 mA and 1.25 A max in transmit. Dimensions are 117 × 65 × 35 mm without battery pack.
