The ICOM IC-1200 is a handheld UHF transceiver. It covers 1240-1300 MHz for both receive and transmit. The IC-1200 has selectable tuning steps of 12.5 or 25 kHz. RF output power is selectable between High: 10 W and Lo 1 W. It features 1 memory bank with 21 channels. Power requirements are 13.8V DC. The current drain in receive mode is 600-900 mA, and the maximum current drain in transmit mode is 5.5 A. The IC-1200 weighs 1.5 kg.
