The ICOM IC-2E is a handheld VHF transceiver. It covers 144-146 MHz for both receive and transmit. The receiver system is a double conversion superheterodyne with IF frequencies of 1st: 10.695 MHz and 2nd: 455 KHz. Image rejection is >60 dB. RF output is selectable between High: 1.5 W @ 8.4 VDC and Low: 150 mW @ 8.4 VDC. The IC-2E requires 8-10.8V DC and features a 1750 Hz tone burst. Dimensions are 167 × 65 × 35 mm. Weight is 450 gr with battery and antenna included. Current drain in receive mode is 20-130 mA and 220-550 mA in transmit.
