The ICOM IC-38A is a Mobile VHF Transceiver. It covers 220-225 MHz for both receive and transmit. The frequency stability is ±10 p.p.m. (-10°C to +60°C) with tuning steps of 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 kHz. It uses a Double conversion superheterodyne receiver system with IF frequencies of 1st: 17.2 MHz and 2nd: 455 kHz, providing 60 dB image rejection.
