The ICOM IC-V8000 is a Mobile VHF Transceiver. It covers 136-174 MHz in receive and 144-146 MHz (Asia) or 144-148 MHz (USA) in transmit. Frequency stability is ± 10 p.p.m. (-10°C to +60°C). Tuning steps are selectable from 5 / 10 / 12.5 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 / 50 kHz. The receiver system is a Double conversion superheterodyne with IF frequencies of 1st 21.7 MHz and 2nd 450 kHz. Image rejection is 75 dB. RF output power is selectable from 5 / 10 / 25 / 75 W. Audio output is more than 2 W at 10% distortion with an 8 ohm load. It features 1 memory bank with 207 channels. Power requirements are 13.8 V DC +/-15% (negative ground). The IC-V8000 has selectable green or amber display, CTCSS and DCS, standard DTMF encoder and optional decoder, and weather alert scan (US version only). Dimensions are 50 × 150 × 150 mm.
