The ICOM IC-W31E is a handheld VHF/UHF transceiver. It covers 136-174 / 400-470 MHz in receive and 144-146 / 430-440 MHz in transmit. The receiver system is a double conversion superheterodyne with IF frequencies of 1st: 43.1 MHz (VHF), 35.8 MHz (UHF) and 2nd: 455 KHz. Image rejection is >50 dB. RF output is selectable between High: 5/5 W, Medium: 0.5/0.5 W, Low: 15/15 mW. It features CTCSS on TX (RX option UT-94), DTMF and Twin RX. The IC-W31E has 1 memory bank with 100 channels. Power requirements are 4.8-9.6V DC with battery pack or 4.5-16V DC external. Dimensions are 125 × 57 × 31 mm.
