These rigs are mostly known for their mechanical weaknesses. Only very few are operational at present time. It is a Japanese OEM product of the mid 70s relabeled by Lafayette as the BCR-101, originally sold in Japan as the Kentec BCL-1, the Japanese cousin looks and works exactly the same. It has a drum type frequency display similar to the Kenwood QR-666 or the Kenwood R-300, except with a single drum.
