The RadioShack / Realistic HTX-212 is a Mobile VHF Transceiver. It covers 136-174 MHz in receive and 144.6-148 MHz in transmit. Frequency stability is ± 10 p.p.m. with tuning steps of 5, 10, 12.5, 20, 25, 50, and 100 kHz. It uses a Double conversion superheterodyne receiver system with IF frequencies of 21.4 MHz and 455 kHz. RF output is 10/45 W and audio output is 2 W, 10% THD, 8 Ohms. The HTX-212 features CTCSS and DTMF. It requires 13.8 V DC +/- 15 % power. Current drain is 200 mA in receive and 3.7-9 A in transmit. Dimensions are 42 × 142 × 160 mm.
