The Handic 21 is a handheld transceiver. The frequency range for both receive and transmit is 26.965-27.255 MHz with channelized tuning steps. It utilizes a crystal controlled superheterodyne receiver system with an IF frequency of 455 kHz and image rejection of 45 dB. The RF output is 1 W and the audio output is 0.4 W at 10% THD @ 1000 Hz. It features 1 memory bank with 2 channels. Power requirements are 12-12.5 V DC, 8 "A" Cells. Current drain in receive mode is 16 mA min and 250 mA max in transmit. Dimensions are 220 × 75 × 50 mm.
