The ICOM IC-22S is a 2 meter mobile transceiver. It has 22 diode programmable channels and does not required expensive crystals to reprogram. Channel spacing is fixed at 15 kHz. Please note that the IC-22S has no coverage below 146 MHz, contrary to its predecessor (ICOM IC-22A) which has full 2 meter coverage. Supposedly FM was not allowed below 146 MHz back in the days, and ICOM decided to leave it out entirely.

The IC-22S was followed by the ICOM IC-22U.
