The Standard HX290 is a handheld transceiver. It covers 156.025 - 163.275 MHz for both receive and transmit. The RF output is selectable between 1 and 5 watts. It features Submersible JIS-8 / IPX7, an oversized LCD, NOAA Weather Alert and a glow-in-the-dark strip. It operates on 12 V DC using a 1650mAh Lithium-ion battery.
