The ICOM IC-V88 is a handheld VHF transceiver covering 136-174 MHz in receive and 144-146 MHz (Europe) or 144-148 MHz (USA) in transmit. It has a frequency stability of ±2.5 p.p.m. and selectable tuning steps of 5, 10, 12.5, 15, 20, 25, or 50 kHz. The IC-V88 offers an RF output power of 5.5W, 2.0W, or 0.5W and features 1 memory bank with 128 channels. It has an 800mW internal audio output and includes CTCSS/DTCS, DTMF, Inversion Voice Scrambler, and IP67 waterproofing. The transceiver weighs 230 gr (with BP-278) and measures 112 × 52 × 22 mm (with BP-278).
