This receiver is not only nostalgic, as it was my original ram receiver when I got licensed in 67, but I have restored one completely and it is a superb performer. The filters are adequate for even today's crowded bands and it as sensitive and stable as you could want. I use it for traffic handling and chasing DX when I can.

If you have an opportunity to pick up one of these, go for it, as you will not be disappointed.

Only thing it's missing is a good noise blanker but one of those can be added in the audio output.

In my experiance this is one of the finest receivers designed for it size and cost a real sleeper and a keeper.It has triple conversion and true band pass tunning and an am and product detector.and is as stable as a Collins.
