Still a workhorse of the 2k's
mvaughanusm81When it came to which rig I would keep: Drake 7 or Icon 751a, I chose the latter. The 751a was, at one time, Icoms Flagship of transceivers. It was smoother to operate and the controls were right at your fingertips.
To this date, I have found the 751a has MORE features on it that are found on late model rigs. (Pre-2000). Comparing to other brands, I came out on top. If you have one of these rigs...KEEP IT!
