patrollerthis is an excellent cold weather HT because it has no LCD to freeze! For FM simplex or standard shift repeater use, it's easy on battery usage. Max TXP is 1 W. Think I bought in 1982, new. Best Accessory was battery cord I configured for Alkaline D cells, also BNC antenna adapter.
