This HT had the best receiver for an amateur HT in sensitivity (About .18uV) and selectivity, even better than most mobile rigs that I've had. The crossband feature worked well from 2m to 222MHz, and back. I was able to carry 222MHz nets with this HT. 3 selectable power setting are nice, 300mW, 1W, and 5W. Good, punchy TX audio. Memories are limited to 20 per band, but was good for 1990. DC power draw is about 250mA on RX and 2A MAX on TX high power. The great tight RX section makes this an ideal rig to urban use in portable, or mobile, use. If you can find this rig in good condition, and want 222MHz to boot, this rig is well worth it.
