Swan 350

Swan (Cubic) 350, Desktop Shortwave Transceiver

Perhaps one of the more popular Swan models. My 350 was built with parts from a donor 350 and has proven to be a good performer with 200+ watts out 80-10 meters, no WARC bands. A digital frequency readout was added and a Muffin Fan to remove some heat, the old vacuum tube rigs do run pretty warm.

The old Swan vacuum tube (Glow Plugs) radios are easy to work on and tubes continue to be in ready supply, although the Sweep Tubes are increasing in price.

My Swan collection includes a Swan-240, Swan-350, Swan-100MX and hoping to add a Swan-700CX next.
