Ten-Tec Omni-D (546) reviews

Ten-Tec Omni-D (546), Desktop Shortwave Transceiver

Just dug it out after sitting in storage for a few years. Hooked it up to a Dentron Jr. antenna tuner, then into a g5rv inverted V and proceded to make contacts from a couple hundred miles to several thousand miles away. Very clear recieved audio, great reports from others. I think my Asian rigs just went to the back burner and I'll use this nice American equipment for the for-seeable future. It may be oler, but darn it works great. I also had a tour of the Ten-Tec factory a couple years back, and they were just absolutly the greatest people there. (No, I do NOT work for them!). I must buy one of their newer rigs some day.Thank God for Sevier County, TN, USA, the home of Ten-Tec and Dolly Parton.
