The Central Electronics 200V was unique for its time, it requires no tuning of the final or other controls to use (broadband tuning). It has a built in 2" oscilloscope for monitoring various functions. It had two sets of set and forget controls on the front panel, behind two drop down doors. It has a PTO inside, and a drum dial with fine vernier type tuning. Other features include VOX and PTT.
The band coverage was wider than strictly the ham bands. Each band covered 1 MHz, with (per the manual) "Generous coverage outside the ham bands". Actual coverage was:
3.5-4.5 MHz
6.5-7.5 MHz
13.5-14.5 MHz
20.5-21.5 MHz
27.5-30.5 MHz
An optional 160 m kit could also be fitted plus there was the capability of adding a 1 MHz range anywhere in the HF range.
