I bought one of these in the early 1990's. I think I paid $20.00 for it. Seemed to perform as well as any other 23CH Messenger rig, although I have not worked one of these mobile, just base. That speaker mounted where it is beats the normal "under the rig" concept for audio quality. Thus, you really don't need an EXT speaker. The phone handset comes in handy when talking to friends late at night. You switch the RX audio to handset and listen and talk that way and not wake-up the rest of your household. RF Power output is typical of EF Johnson CB's with carrier set at 3.2W, (Which happens to be Canada's CB limit.) Modulation was good and loud, and if I had to guess, it was 90%, or better. I do miss that it doesn't have a big S/RF meter on it. I wish that I could remember where this rig went, since I haven't seen it now for 20 years. However, a neat novelty rig when I had it.
