This former mother company of Yaesu Musen focuses on professional (land-mobile) equipment. The company was founded in 1956 in Tokyo, Japan as General Television Service Co., Ltd. The name was changed to Vertex Musen in 1964. A joint-venture with Motorola was formed in 2008.
