The RadioShack / Realistic Pro-28 is a handheld VHF/UHF scanner / receiver. It covers the following frequency ranges: UK: 66-88 / 137-174 / 406-512 MHz and USA: 29-54 / 137-174 / 406-512 MHz. The receiver system is a double conversion superheterodyne with IF frequencies of 1st: 10.85 MHz and 2nd: 450 kHz. It features an 8-Digit LCD Display, Band Search, Direct Search, Lockout Function, Search Skip, Two-Second Scan Delay, Weather Band Key, and memory banks for 30 channels. The audio output is 500 mW, 8 ohms. Power requirements are 6 V DC or 4×AA/LR6 batteries. Dimensions are 162 × 68.5 × 39 mm and it weighs 250 gr. The current drain during reception is 45~125 mA.
