The Kenwood TM-2530A is a mobile VHF transceiver. It covers 144-148 MHz for both transmit and receive frequencies. The receiver system uses double conversion superheterodyne with IF frequencies of 1st: 10.695 MHz and 2nd: 455 kHz. The RF output is 5-25 W. Audio output is >1.5 W across 8 ohm with 5% distortion. The transceiver features DCL. It requires 13.8 V DC power supply, drawing 600 mA in receive mode and 6.5 A in transmit mode. Dimensions are 60 × 180 × 195 mm.
