This transceiver looks more like a 1980s hi-fi tuner than an amateur rdaio rig. Still, it features 2 m / 70 cm in its unusual package and could be fitted with either the CRF-081 or CRF-301 for additional 10 m or 23 cm coverage, both giving 10 W output.
The C-55 is largely the same as its predecessors, the Standard C-50 and Standard C-50D. Added features are an optional voice recorder and DTMF / CTCSS installed as standard.
Extensive scan and comfort features make the STANDARD C-55 complete.
