The DJ-196T features, alpha display, 5 watt output, 40 memories plus call channel, 9 autodialer memories, battery saver function, cable cloning function, direct frequency entry, auto power off with Morse alert, mosquito repel sound function, direct keypad frequency entry, backlit display and keypad, monitor and low power transmit keys and time-out timer. The DJ-196T also has extended receive from 130 to 174 MHz. (FM F2/F3). The DJ-196T also features a backlit keypad.
