Kenwood TM-631A, Mobile VHF Transceiver
A friend of mine alerted me to this rig for sale, and after great luck with other 222MHz Kenwood rigs, I bought it. Glad that I did. Nothing bad to say about this rig at all. Great RX / TX audio quality and great RX sensitivity on both bands. Only fix was to replace Li Memory battery. Only 20 memories per side. Fine for 222MHz, but a bit limiting today for 2M FREQ's, but not a show stopper. Has all CTCSS FREQ's necessary for repeater work. (Not all mid to late 1980's rigs had this.) This rig is a keeper if you have 222MHz in your area, but is still a great 2M performer as well.
