Yaesu FT-290R II reviews

I knew this set from the 80's, these days too expensive for me to buy. This year (2011) i saw one on a Dutch ebay like website ... i bought it. It was like new and worked as new. Solid quality !!

I filled the battery-case with modern 4000 mAh D cells. For charging i bought a Ansmann 410 mobile charger ... and so i became portable:D

For less money portable SSB ... and repairable at home. Who can say that about the modern portables?
