The Mortek MRR-5 has a frequency range running from 1.5 to 29.99 MHz. Reception in the long wave range is possible with reduced performance. The outer casing made of high impact plastic case and is waterproof, the front panel is of steel construction. The MRR5 is built with RACAL 931 in mind and was intented to be used as a second receiver and comply with this radio this is why the controls are similar and the jacks for audio and antenna are the same as Racal line.
Also was used as a surveilance receiver.
