It has an audio output of 1.8 W, 10 memory banks and 500 memory channels. The BC898T also features CTCSS/DCS, VFO mode, SAME w/FIPS, PC programmability, S-meter, rotary control, auto store, data skip, backlit display and Trunktracker III. Dimensions are 86 × 276 × 190 mm.
