The Uniden-Bearcat BC898T is a Mobile HF/VHF/UHF Scanner / receiver. It covers 29-54 / 108-174 / 216-512 / 806-956 MHz and features a Triple conversion superheterodyne receiver system with tuning steps of 5 / 6.25 / 12.5 / 25 kHz. It has an audio output of 1.8 W, 10 memory banks and 500 memory channels. The BC898T also features CTCSS/DCS, VFO mode, SAME w/FIPS, PC programmability, S-meter, rotary control, auto store, data skip, backlit display and Trunktracker III. Dimensions are 86 × 276 × 190 mm. It requires 13.8V DC and has a maximum current drain of 500 mA in receive mode.
