The Hallicrafters SX-101A amateur band receiver tunes the major amateur bands: 3.5-4, 7-7.3, 14-14.4, 21-21.5, 28-30 MHz and WWV at 10 MHz. The dial is also precalibrated for an external 6 or 2 meter converter (50-54 and 144-148 MHz). The rear panel has speaker and antenna terminals and a converter jack. The cover is hinged.
The circuit consists of: 6DX6 RF Amp, 6BY6 1st Mixer, 6BA6 1650 kHz IF Amp, 6BA6 2nd Mixer, 6DC6 50 kHz IF Amp, 6BY7 Detector/ANL/AVC, 6SC7 Audio Amp/BFO, 6SC7T Audio Out, 0A2 Voltage Regulator, 5Y3GT Rectifier, 12AT7 2nd Converter Osc, 6C4 50 kHz IF Amp and 6AU6 Crystal Calibrator.
