The Kenwood TR-7730 is a Mobile VHF Transceiver. It covers 144.0-147.995 MHz (extended range 143.900-148.995 MHz) for both receive and transmit. The receiver system is a Double conversion superheterodyne with IF frequencies of 1st: 10.7 MHz and 2nd: 455 kHz. RF output power is selectable between 5W and 25W. Audio output is 2W into 8 ohms @ 10% THD. The TR-7730 features 1 memory bank with 5 channels. It requires 13.8 V DC for operation. Dimensions are 51 × 147 × 198 mm and it weighs 1.5 kg. Current drain is 400 mA in receive mode and 5.5 A max in transmit mode.
