Compact portable QRP SDR transceiver for the HF bands, designed by PrTrx (csqwdy) and sold assembled by HamGeek as the HamGeek PT1. Parts of the hardware and software design derive from VK7IAN's open-source MBPTRX, used under VK7IAN's permission. The hardware is open source; the firmware is closed source and needs a free registration code for self-built units.
Output power: 5 W is the standard rating; the designer advises not to exceed 5 W in FT8 without extra cooling, while 10 W is fine for normal QSOs. IMD3 better than -35 dBc at 10 W PEP (measured -38 dBc).
Operating modes: LSB, USB, CWL, CWU, DGL, DGU, AM, NFM
Sideband suppression: better than -50 dBc; carrier suppression: better than -50 dBc
Spurious emissions: better than -50 dBc (2nd and 3rd harmonics)
Antenna impedance: 50 ohm; microphone impedance: 2 kohm
Operating temperature: 0 to +50 °C
SWR cannot be measured accurately below about 2 W.
