Stories & reviews

Extremely useful scanner

GRE / GRECOM PSR-600, Mobile VHF/UHF Scanner / receiver

This was my second digital scanner thus far and is by far the best, most useful scanner ever owned. I also purchased Win500 software which really increases the usefulness of this model. Capable of streaming audio to the internet and remote control of scanner from any location with internet access. Decodes P25 very well and produces excellent audio. Display provides useful information and keyboard is laid out very well. Would have liked to see the PC control jack on the rear (located on the front). Comes with everything you need to operate scanner. However, Radio Shack version (PRO-197) does NOT come with wall-wart power supply or USB programming/control cable. Excellent receiver with equally excellent capabilities. Has far more features than prior scanner models I've ever owned. Originally introduced for around $500 but as of early 2011 can be found for $350. Always a pleasure to use this scanner :)
